Why do we need to separate garbage? How to separate garbage?
In our daily life, "garbage" is everywhere, such as garbage cans in family apartments, garbage bins at the end of streets and alleys, and garbage dumps in the outskirts of the city, etc. You will often find that there are many kinds of classifications in garbage disposal, so why do we need to classify garbage? Do you know how to categorize it properly?
The classification of garbage is a scientific management method for the effective disposal of garbage. By separating and collecting waste, useful materials such as paper, plastic, rubber, glass, bottles, cans, metal and used household appliances are separated from the garbage and put into a separate place, recycled, utilized and turned into treasure.
Based on the Implementation Plan for the Domestic Waste Classification System, garbage can be divided into three categories. The first category is hazardous waste, including waste batteries (cadmium-nickel batteries, mercuric oxide batteries, lead storage batteries, etc.), waste fluorescent tubes (fluorescent tubes, energy-saving lamps, etc.), waste thermometers, waste sphygmomanometers, waste medicines and their packages, waste paints, solvents and their packages, waste pesticides, disinfectants and their packages, and waste films and waste photographic paper.
Treating these wastes, our disposal process must be careful and prudent. For example, discarded fluorescent light bulbs should be packed and fixed to prevent the bulbs from breaking, so that the harmful mercury vapors evaporate into the environment. For example, containing heavy metals and other hazardous substances, secondary batteries (commonly known as rechargeable batteries, including nickel-cadmium, nickel-metal hydride, lithium batteries and lead-acid batteries), button batteries, etc. must not be discarded, to be put into the hazardous waste cans.
The second category is perishable garbage, including canteens, hotels, restaurants and other kitchen waste, farmers' markets, wholesale markets of agricultural products produced by vegetables and fruits, rotting meat, meat bones, eggshells, livestock and poultry products, such as offal. Perishable garbage has a lot of moisture, is easy to rot and deteriorate, and emits odor. Both affect the surrounding environment, but also easy in the process of garbage collection and transportation of sewage dripping problems, so perishable garbage should be drained of water, put into a special garbage bag, tighten the mouth of the bag. Perishable garbage cans should be covered to avoid polluting the surrounding environment.
The third category is recyclable garbage, including waste paper, waste plastics, waste metals, waste packaging, waste textiles, WEEE, waste glass, waste paper-plastic-aluminum composite packaging. When dealing with this type of waste, the following four points can be followed:
Paper should be folded as neatly as possible to avoid kneading, and cardboard should also be split and stacked.
Bottles and cans should be put out after the container has been used up or emptied as much as possible and cleaned up.
Glass items should be placed carefully to avoid cuts and breakage, and are best placed in bags or containers.
Fabric items should be neatly packed and put out at designated collection points regularly.
In short, garbage classification is a very meaningful thing, garbage classification can effectively save primary resources, improve the quality of the environment, lead to green development, lead a green life.
