Difficulties in traditional investigation of plateau

1. Climate: The Loess Plateau is a semi-humid and semi-arid area with little precipitation and relatively dry climate; Moreover, the temperature difference between winter and summer is large, and living in caves is "warm in winter and cool in summer".

2. Soil: The loess layer is deep and vertical joints are developed (loess stands upright).

3. Terrain: There are many valleys in the Loess Plateau, with rugged terrain and few flat lands.

4. Others: The Loess Plateau is sparsely vegetated and lacks wood (less building materials). Soil: Loess stands upright with deep soil layer.

Climate: Less precipitation. Consider slope direction, soil thickness, etc. There are various caves, and adding a slope means that the drainage should consider the looseness, uprightness and dryness of loess.
