The logo consists of two "C"-shaped half rings and three prisms which are symmetrical at the origin.

The two "C"-shaped half-rings represent "China" and "Changchun", indicating the geographical location; at the same time, the combination of the two "O"-shaped half-rings represents "China" and "Changchun", indicating the geographical location. O" stands for "Optics" (Optics) and "P" stands for "Physics" (Physics), indicating the industry. Optics" and "P" stands for "Physics", indicating the characteristics of the industry.

The elliptical shape of the Chinese character "中" indicates the status of the national science and technology team. The three prisms represent the traditional superiority of the Institute, and the ring-shaped "earth" symbolizes the cradle of China's optics industry and the grandeur of the Institute in facing the world and striving to become an international first-class research institute. The two halves of the ring interact with each other, symbolizing the rapid development and virtuous cycle of the Institute's scientific research and industry.

The standard colors are dark blue and light blue, with dark blue representing the ocean and light blue representing the sky, indicating Changguang people's development concept of "the sea is wide enough for fish to leap, and the sky is high enough for birds to fly" and their innovative spirit of advancing with the times. Cultural Activities The Institute regularly carries out cultural and artistic activities such as UG skills competition, youth success report, youth badminton competition, spring running relay race, volleyball competition, singing competition, basketball competition, sports games, and cultural performances.

The Graduate Students' Association organizes theme parties, youth fellowship activities, and academic forum lectures.

In May 2010, the Institute set up the "Messenger of the Heart" caring team to carry out the "Messenger of the Heart" psychological debugging skills training activities.
