Overview of spear thrower
Spear throwing device is actually a throwing weapon between slingshot, javelin and heavy arrow. Spear thrower is usually a flat bone or plate (30- 150 cm long) with a spear rack and a fingered grip. It appeared in Archean, and spear throwers were found in the late Paleolithic strata (BC 12000- 10000) during archaeological excavation. Australian aborigines, Brazilian Indians, melanesians and other nationalities used it as a hunting weapon.
