Brief introduction of Aksu in southern Xinjiang
Aksu, as an important agricultural area in northeast Xinjiang, is known as "fruit and vegetable warehouse" and "cotton capital". Aksu is an outstanding place with many places of interest, such as Kuqa ancient city represented by ancient Qiuci civilization, Keping Buddhist Temple on the ancient Silk Road, and Shizigou, a famous canyon scenic spot at the northern foot of Tianshan Mountain.
Aksu has diverse climate and topography, suitable temperature and abundant precipitation, and is rich in crops such as cotton, medlar, melons and fruits. It is also a traditional animal husbandry and hunting area. At the same time, Aksu is also a place where ethnic minorities live together. Uygur, Han, Kazak and other ethnic groups have formed rich cultures and folk customs, which makes Aksu's historical humanities and multicultural connotations distinct.
