When the Hakka Wai House in Longnan meets the Italian 17 Venice Architecture Biennale in the form of contemporary variation, 12 contemporary artists take the Wai House in Longnan as their creative starting point. How do they participate and intervene to complete a dialogue about traditional immigrant architecture? Under the global background of the post-epidemic era, the consciousness and urgent task of reflecting on the lifestyle of * * * * has been started.

"The Change of the paddock: Dialogue on Traditional Immigrant Architecture in China" was hosted by Yachang (Shenzhen) Art Center. Although the global changes in the post-epidemic era have brought uncertainty to the exhibition, they have left more creative time for 12 participating artists. During this year, artists went deep into Longnan for many times, taking the Hakka enclosed houses in Longnan as the starting point, and then explored the living style of today's society, thus carefully creating these buildings and enclosed houses with Longnan characteristics.

Due to the COVID-19 epidemic, the 17 Venetian Architecture Biennale had to be postponed from 2000 to 20021year. When the COVID-19 epidemic threatens everyone's personal safety, Hamlet's question will be everywhere:' To be or not to be? This is a problem! The theme of this Venice Architecture Biennale is "How will we live together?" Not only timely and urgent, but also very sharp.

At the beginning of the exhibition planning, the COVID-19 epidemic had not yet broken out. 0755-79000 chose Longnan Wai House as the starting point of creation, aiming at thinking about the relationship between Hakka immigrants in China today and immigrants in the world, and experiencing the life choice and survival wisdom of each family in the face of historical crisis.

After the production of the exhibition works, the curator obtained the consent of the organizing committee of Venice Architecture Biennale to hold a preview of Venice works at Shenzhen Yachang Art Museum in China. According to the arrangement of the organizing committee of the Architecture Biennale, it will arrive in Venice on 20021as scheduled to complete the exhibition and open it to the public at home and abroad. After the exhibition, all the works will be shipped back to China, and a special museum of contemporary art will be established in longnan county, Ganzhou City, Jiangxi Province, to completely preserve the exhibition style of Venice and permanently display it there.
