The design of Shanghai Grand Theatre is unique. Why adopt the design of China Jiugongge?

Shanghai Grand Theatre covers an area of about 2 1 1,000 square meters, overlooking the Shanghai Grand Theatre with a total construction area of 70,000 square meters and a total building height of 40 meters, which is divided into 8 floors above ground and 2 floors underground.

There are three theaters in Shanghai Grand Theatre, including ticketing center, ballet rehearsal hall, band rehearsal hall, VIP room, exhibition hall, art shop, coffee bar, banquet hall and parking garage.

The top of Shanghai Grand Theatre adopts steel structure to reduce its own weight, and the roof inclined to the sky is supported by six transparent columns. The lower part is composed of different plates made of concrete structure, and there is a gap in the middle to facilitate the insertion of steel structure. The design scheme of Shanghai Grand Theatre comes from French architect Xia Bangjie.

French architectural design firm Xia Bangjie and East China Architectural Design and Research Institute participated in the joint design of Shanghai Grand Theatre. The interior design of Shanghai Grand Theatre was carried out by Stil and Tianshewen Company of the United States. According to the shape of China Classical Architecture Museum,

The roof adopts a white arc that is inverted on both sides and embraced by the sky, symbolizing the theory that the sky is round and the place is round, symbolizing the huge "cornucopia" of splendid cultures of various countries. [3] ? The facade of Shanghai Grand Theatre is made of glass and marble, which is crystal clear from top to bottom.

It is a combination of modernization and national style. At night, under the light, the light curtain of the crystal facade and roof reflects the water light of the fountain, turning the whole building into a crystal palace. The glass curtain wall of Shanghai Grand Theatre adopts the third generation glass curtain wall "steel cable glass curtain wall", which is characterized by not needing to be fixed with a metal frame.

Instead, stainless steel cables and stainless steel claws form a suspension support system, which makes the theater hazy during the day and transparent as a crystal palace at night under the light. The curtain wall glass also adopts the European high-tech colored glaze printing process, that is, from top to bottom, from sparse to dense, a faint white checkered pattern is printed, the coverage rate of the white checkered pattern reaches 95%, and it can reflect 30% of ultraviolet rays, reducing light pollution and greenhouse effect.
