General research notes on political science of liberalism, conservatism and empiricism

Some articles on political science have not been finished. Recently, I read Bao's "General Theory of Political Science" and feel that I have gained a lot. Let me briefly talk about my own gains. I also hope that these articles can provide readers with some insights and thoughts.

This paper mainly discusses the similarities and differences among liberalism, conservatism and empiricism.

First of all, about liberalism

Whether to establish a limited government or a constitutional government. It is characterized by a strong restriction on the rights, behaviors and boundaries of the government, not only for the administration, but also for the economy. In the market economy, the government should dare to market as little as possible, and the behavior of market subjects should be regulated by the "invisible hand"

Liberalism principle: 1. Everyone has equal rights to enjoy the widest basic freedom similar to others.

2. Socio-economic inequality: (1) is beneficial to the best interests of those who benefit the least; (2) Jobs and posts should be open to almost everyone.

Second, about conservatism.

The main idea is to change for the sake of preservation, advocate maintaining the status quo and inheritance, but at the same time, we must reform some things-because without change, existing things cannot be preserved.

Conservatism is an important principle of ideology: the principle of defending tradition. Conservatism believes that tradition contains many useful values and ideas.

Third, about empiricism.

According to empiricism, people's abilities have boundaries. We can't just change the society, we should respect the current practices and habits and make reasonable improvements on the existing basis.
