How to use a thermometer

Mercury thermometers are often used to measure body temperature. Throw the thermometer below 35 degrees Celsius, put it in your mouth, armpit or anus for 5 minutes, and then take out the reading.

1. If you choose a mercury thermometer to measure your body temperature, hold the tail of the thermometer before measuring, scrub it with alcohol cotton and dry it. Throw the mercury column of the thermometer below 35 degrees Celsius. If you measure the temperature of your armpit, put the mercury head of the thermometer in the middle of your armpit. If the body temperature is measured in the mouth, put the mercury head of the thermometer under the base of the tongue; Measure the temperature of the anus, coat the mercury head of the thermometer with lubricating oil and insert it into the anus, about half the depth of the thermometer. After measuring for about 5 minutes, take out the thermometer, hold the tail of the thermometer by hand, put it horizontally in front of your eyes, slowly rotate the thermometer, and see the scale on the mercury column, which is our temperature. After use, throw the thermometer below 35 degrees Celsius, sterilize it and put it horizontally in the box for later use.
