The positivist tradition, the humanist tradition.
The positivist tradition believes that reality is real and can be known and understood. The humanist tradition focuses on human emotions, beliefs, values and other subjective experiences and factors. Humanism believes that sociology should study human subjective experience and cultural phenomena, not just social structure and social behavior. It is represented by Weber and Schutz.
