Main producing areas of twisted tire ceramics

Jiaozuo, named after Jiaojia Workshop, is closely related to the ceramic industry and is an important birthplace of the Chinese nation. Xiuwu is the birthplace of Zheng Tao Ningfengzi named by the Yellow Emperor, and it is the root of China ceramic culture. Huaichuan Dida, Hanoi in the ancient "Sanjiang" area, Jizhou in the center of "Kyushu" and Yang Shan at the southern foot of Taihang Mountain, are the cradles for the Yellow Emperor to unify the Central Plains, integrate all ethnic groups and nurture Chinese civilization. From ancient times to the present, the types of China ceramics are magnificent. Generally speaking, ceramic technology, or the change and application of colored glaze, or painting, carving, hollowing out, kneading, round molding, or the wonderful change of glaze color caused by different flame, temperature and temperature, the technology is embodied to the extreme, and there are countless types of shapes.

Among all kinds of ceramics, there is a unique porcelain that is little known, and its taste is superior, ranking first among all kinds of porcelain. This is a unique porcelain, which began in the Tang Dynasty in China and was formed by applying the technological characteristics of rhinoceros-like lacquerware to porcelain production. Woven-tire porcelain is made of two (or more) kinds of porcelain clay with different colors, forming decorative patterns with different colors, and its color texture makes porcelain reflect essential differences, which is also called "flower-wearing porcelain" by the northern folks. This special porcelain-making process, with essentially the same internal and external changes, has reached a quite high level in the Song Dynasty.

During the Northern Song Dynasty, twisted-tire porcelain was produced on a large scale in Dangyangyu, Jiaozuo, and a small amount was produced in other places. China Dictionary of Arts and Crafts records: "Dangyangyu Kiln is a folk porcelain kiln in the Northern Song Dynasty. The kiln site is in Dangyangyu, Xiuwu, Henan, hence the name. " The glaze color of twisted tires is bright and bright, and the decorative techniques are carving, half painting and half carving, color filling and tricolor twisted tires. Among them, the twisted tire technology has the unique style of Dangyangyu kiln.

In Dangyangyu, Jiaozuo, the Bailingweng Temple Monument, which lasted for four years (A.D. 1 105), is one of the three existing kiln monuments in China and records the prosperity of the kiln industry in Dangyangyu that year. The inscription describes the reason for building the temple: "... it is beneficial for Shu to send disciples on that day, observe their position, draw their sacred vessels and set up the temple." "There are more than 100 kinds of Gigi Lai commodities in the world, and there are more than 1 10,000 customers ..." This shows the prosperous position of Dangyangyu kiln.

Jiangnan mentioned Cheng Yun in the preface of Song of Bailing Temple, with a total of 34 sentences (7 words). Cheng Yun, a local official of Jingdezhen in the Northern Song Dynasty, praised Dangyang jade porcelain: "Dangyang copper medicine is really strange, and skillful craftsmen are especially skilled. It will take three days to heat up, and the luster when it is opened is really strange. Copper is like cinnabar jade. " This shows the exquisite porcelain-making skills of Dangyang Jade in those days.

In the 1940s, Japanese archaeologist Fujio pointed out in an academic report on Dangyangyu Kiln in Jiaozuo: "The first thing that came into view at the ancient kiln site in Jiaozuo was the exquisite porcelain pieces commonly known as twisted-tire porcelain, which were mixed with white porcelain mud and red porcelain mud. This kind of porcelain may be the work of a particularly famous Potter. Twisted-tire porcelain can be found in tribes and ancient kiln sites ... In Xiuwu kiln, whether it is Tang-style low-temperature glazed twisted-tire porcelain or something white with a little black ash, it has always been called Tang-style twisted-tire porcelain, but it actually feels like the porcelain of the Northern Song Dynasty. In short, Xiuwu Kiln burned twisted porcelain for quite a long time. " At that time, he named Xiuwu Dangyangyu Kiln Xiuwu Kiln. Famous ceramic archaeologists Mr. Feng Xianming and Mr. Ye Jimin raised the technology of twisted-tire porcelain to a new height when they visited Dangyangyu kiln: "Besides Dangyangyu, Shandong Baofeng, Xin 'an, Zibo and other places also have twisted-tire decorative porcelain in the Song Dynasty, but it is not as beautiful as Dangyangyu kiln ... The famous archaeologist Mr. Chen Wanli put forward when he visited Dangyangyu kiln:" In short, the works of Dangyangyu kiln have been ignored by people, so. In my opinion, there is no Song porcelain in the north of the Yellow River that can be compared with Dangyang Valley except the setting of Quyang and your presence.

Yezi Kiln in Cizhou and Guantai Kiln in Anyang (on both sides of Zhanghe River) are not as good as Dangyangyu in the end. It can be seen that Dangyang jade twisted tire porcelain has an important position and precious value in history. Historians have different opinions about the reasons why Dangyangyu Kiln and the technology of making porcelain with twisted tires were lost, but one thing is certain: after the "Jingkang Change" in the Song Dynasty, with the war in the Northern Song Dynasty and the invasion of Jin Bing, the fire in Dangyangyu Kiln declined and disappeared in the Yuan Dynasty, and the technology of making porcelain with twisted tires was lost. 198 1 year, two pieces of Dangyang jade Song Dynasty twisted porcelain collected by Beijing Palace Museum aroused great interest from Professor Mei Jianying of the Central Academy of Arts and Crafts. He personally conducted field research and trial production, and developed several different twisted textures in the lost twisted porcelain process to revive it. In 200 1 year, Henan Science and Technology Department re-recognized and attached great importance to the lost twisted-tire porcelain technology in Dangyangyu, Jiaozuo, and listed it as a provincial and municipal scientific research project to comprehensively develop the twisted-tire porcelain technology in Dangyangyu. Jiaozuo Jinguxuan Culture and Art Communication Co., Ltd. undertook this major scientific research project. Through scientific research and repeated trial-manufacture, contemporary high-quality artistic porcelain with twisted tires has been successfully fired.
