Introduction of gift cake
"Gift cake" is a traditional cake with strong local flavor in southeast Fujian, and it is also one of the varieties of heavy sugar and heavy oil in cakes. The gift cake is oblate, larger than the moon cake, with thin skin and full stuffing. The taste is fragrant, fat and fine, moist but not fat, and the layer of white sesame seeds on the cake surface is always irresistible after baking. There are five catties of gift cakes, three catties, two catties and half a catty. Gift cakes are divided into sweet and salty, and the so-called "salty" is also sweet and salty. Shrimp, seaweed and refined salt are added to the stuffing of the gift cake, and there is not much difference in appearance, but the taste is different.
