On what basis was the White Snake Biography Peking Opera formed?

The Legend of the White Snake is a famous play by China. This story first appeared in Feng Ming magnum's Warning Story (Volume 28) and Bai Niangzi's Leifeng Pagoda in Yongzhen. Chen Ming made up the legend of Leifeng Pagoda, while Qing people wrote the lyrics of the legend of Yi Yao. Almost all the operas in the country have performances of Legend of the White Snake. Henan Opera, Pingju Opera, Shaanxi Opera, Cantonese Opera, Hebei Bangzi and other operas all have traditional versions of the play, among which the Peking Opera "Legend of the White Snake" which pays equal attention to singing and doing is the most distinctive.

The earliest "Legend of the White Snake" was a performance of "Wind stirring snow" co-performed by Beijing Opera and Kunqu Opera. 1950, Tian Han adapted the traditional drama Legend of the White Snake into 25 Peking Opera Golden Bowls; 1953 revised the script again, restored the original title of "Legend of the White Snake", highlighted the anti-feudal theme, developed the mythical color of the story, and the lyrics were smooth and beautiful. The Peking Opera "The Legend of the White Snake", which is often performed now, is performed according to Tian Hanben.
