Commonly used acupoint selection method and its application

Some acupoints are often used in clinic, but sometimes the selection of acupoints may be inaccurate, the direction and depth of acupuncture are inappropriate, and the due curative effect cannot be achieved. Here I will talk about the clinical application of several acupoints based on my own experience and cognition.

1. Zusanli Zusanli is one of the big acupoints of the human body, the focus of health care and one of the nine acupoints of Huiyang, and its importance is self-evident. In the textbook, Zusanli is defined as: three inches below the nose of the lateral calf, and a horizontal finger outside the anterior tibial crest is connected with Xiexi. You can also touch up along the tibia, and touch the place where the tibia bulges, that is, the tibial tuberosity, and slide outward along the lower edge of the tibial tuberosity, which is the point where tibialis anterior meets the first depression. Here I mainly talk about the depth of acupuncture, which has always been the secret of acupuncture. Acupuncture at Zusanli is about 0.5 ~ 1 inch, which is mainly used to treat local diseases such as leg pain and knee pain. Inserting needle 1 ~ 1.5 inch mainly regulates the functions of spleen, stomach and viscera. Inserting needle 1.5 ~ 2 inches can adjust the heart.

2. Small acupoints This is the acupoints discovered by Mr. Yang, which belongs to the strange acupoints in Dong Shi. Xiaojie point is a special point for treating ankle sprain, which is located at the red and white flesh of thumb metacarpal bone (upper lung meridian). Four fingers press the thumb to make a fist, and the depression at the first metacarpophalangeal joint is a small bar point. But when I use it in clinical practice, the effect is not good, and it is not as good as seedling needling. Why? Direction and depth of acupuncture. It was only after I saw Liu Hongyun's video that I realized it. The needle tip should point to the palm root, and the depth of needle insertion should be about 2 inches to achieve good results.

3. The commonly used acupoints for applying Qi and blood to the east at Shenguan point are below Yinlingquan 1.5 inch and above spleen meridian. There are two acupuncture methods for Shenguan point: one is that the patient lies on his back with his feet at an angle of 45 degrees to the bed, and then the needle is inserted vertically into the tibia with a needle length of 1.5 ~ 2 inches. This method penetrates the spleen, liver and kidney with one needle to regulate visceral diseases. The other is to move a little inward from the position of the kidney, and then use a 3-inch needle to penetrate the foot gallbladder meridian of Shaoyang on the other side of the leg. This kind of acupuncture has a special effect on shoulder pain.

4. The fist is clenched in the back stream, and the outer part of the little finger is sunken in the back, so it is easy to hurt when the needle is inserted. Before the needle is inserted, you can knead the acupoints to disperse qi and blood, then press the skin with your fingers or press the needle tip against the skin to make the skin tight, and then quickly break the skin, which can relieve the pain. Houxi point has a good effect on neck and back pain. The depth of the needle can be shallower, 1 inch, and the waist should be around 1.5 inch, so the effect is obvious.

5. Let the patient make a fist before the needle is inserted into the middle column, so as to make the skin on the back of the hand tense, so as to relieve the pain of needle insertion, and stick the needle to the fourth metacarpal bone as far as possible, because the middle column belongs to the triple energizer meridian of hand shaoyang. I didn't pay attention to this problem before. Once my hand was loose, I ran away with a needle, saying that it hurt and I couldn't stand it. I was depressed, too. It still hurts to practice fingering for several years. I hope everyone will take me as a warning.

6. Gu Ling and Dabai are the unique features of Dong Shi. The spirit bone is at the junction of the first metacarpal bone and the second metacarpal bone. Dabai is basically three points, but it is tied between the bones and muscles. Before stabbing these two acupoints, you should clench your fist up into a ball, and then stab it straight, the depth should be about 2 inches, which is very exciting. Some patients said that I just punished him for stabbing these two points, but the clinical effect was very good.

7. In the four general points in Zhong Wei, "the back is sought after by Zhong Wei", but when I used Zhong Wei to treat low back pain, the effect was not good. In fact, when using Weizhong point to treat low back pain, it is mainly the bleeding of the veins stood out at Weizhong point, and the effect of acupuncture is not good.
