Traditional customs of Children's Day

The traditional custom of Children's Day is that the school generally organizes group activities, and children who have reached the age of 6 can also swear to join the Chinese Young Pioneers and become a glorious Young Pioneers on that day.

Many countries in the world have designated June 1 as Children's Day, especially socialist countries. In Europe and the United States, the date of Children's Day is different, and public celebrations are rarely held. Therefore, some people misunderstand that only socialist countries will designate June 1 as International Children's Day.

The origin of the festival:

The establishment of International Children's Day is related to a massacre during World War II-the Lidice Massacre. 1June, 942 10, German fascists shot and killed 140 male citizens over 6 years old and all their babies in Dice Village in Tekeli, and took women and 90 children to concentration camps. All the houses and buildings in the village were burned down, and a good village was destroyed by German fascists.

After the end of World War II, the world economy was depressed, and thousands of workers lost their jobs and lived a life of hunger and cold. In order to protect children's rights to life, medical care and education all over the world and improve their lives, the meeting decided to designate June 1 day as International Children's Day every year.
