There are many objects representing traditional culture in China, such as lanterns, chess, paper-cuts, Chinese knots and so on. Among them, my favorite is lanterns. Let me introduce them to you.

The lantern is red all over, like a thick red candle. Lantern can be divided into three parts from top to bottom, namely handle, body and tail.

The handle of the lantern is special. It is made of iron wire and curved like an arch bridge, which is mainly convenient for people to carry or hang on the wall. The main body of the lantern is chubby and lovely. On the left, it says "make money and treasure", and on the right, it says "Fu".

Lanterns can expand and contract like springs. When it flattens like a sesame seed cake, when it expands vertically like a red pillar, and when it expands horizontally like an accordion, it keeps expanding and contracting, as if it can still hear its wonderful singing! Although its tail is short and small, it still has a small square card with the word "Fu" written on it, and it will dance when a gust of wind blows!

It is said that in ancient times, when children went to school on the first day, their parents did not give them stationery as they do now, but gave them a lantern to take to school and let the teacher light it for them. This shows that the children's future is bright, so lanterns represent beauty and blessings.

This is my favorite lantern. Do you like it, children?
