Jingxing Ancient City, a Traditional Ancient Town in China

The mountain is not high, and the immortal is famous. In fact, whether a mountain is famous depends on whether it has a profound historical background. The Taihang Mountains between Hebei and Shanxi are long enough. It is said that Jingxingkou, one of the eight scenic spots in Taihang Mountain, is a place with profound connotation, and the ancient road built by Qin Shihuang passes through here.

In addition, ancient villages and towns can be seen everywhere, from thousands of years of historical sites to modern products everywhere. Mianhe River and Gan Tao River are called Yehe River after they meet in the southwest of Weishan, and finally merge into Hutuo River and flow into the sea through Haihe River.

Where there is water, there is aura, and where there is water, there are traces of life. The history of Shijiazhuang cannot be traced back to these big rivers. The river in front of us is called Mian River, which was called Mian Man River in ancient times. Because of its numerous tributaries, stretching for hundreds of miles, it is named Mianman River. This is called Mianhe for short, which originated in Shouyang County, Shanxi Province. The status of this river in Jingxing is equivalent to that of the mother river, precisely because this seemingly insignificant river gave birth to a nation.

Thousands of years ago, Han Xin helped Liu Bang unify China, Xia Zhishi, and the soldiers were Zhao. The water behind Han Xin's last stop was Mianhe River. Although we see very little water now, when we hear the story of the water war and see the scene of the river running thousands of years ago, we can't help but sigh that things have changed. It is because of these long histories that this Mianhe River has become a household name.

On this Mianhe River, there is a real ancient town with a thousand years-Tianchang Town. Now, if you want to enter Tianchang Town from the main road, you must first pass this big stone bridge across Mianhe River, which is also a veritable ancient bridge.

It was built in Qingganlong for 42 years and has a history of nearly 250 years. After ups and downs, dynasty changes and floods, what is presented to us now is the restoration of the Republic of China.

The bridge is 109 m long, 6.4 m wide and 8 m high, with * * *1pier and 12 holes, all paved with bluestone, which looks extraordinary.

The name of this bridge is also unusual. The name Yixian Bridge sounds very unusual. It is said that Dr. Sun Yat-sen passed by here, went to Shanxi and met the local gentry in Jingxing. The locals call this bridge Yixian Bridge. This shows people's respect for Mr. Sun.

On both sides of the bridge, there are 38 pairs of animal statues with different shapes, mainly stone lions, some of which have been broken, and some are still faintly visible, full of traces of years. Because of this, this Yixian Bridge is also called Xiaolugou Bridge.

Walking through the stone bridge, you will soon see the outline of the ancient city wall, and Tianchang ancient town is in front of you. Tianchang ancient town has a long history and has preserved countless traces of history, the most notable of which is the peripheral ancient city wall. Tianchang Town has been the capital of Jingxing County from the eighth year of Xining in Song Dynasty to 1958, so it has always been called the ancient city of Song Dynasty and is a living fossil of archaeological research.

Today, we can still see the ruins of the city wall with obvious characteristics of the Ming Dynasty, and the preserved rammed earth style is also quite characteristic of the Ming Dynasty. It was repaired once during the Hongwu period, and it was reinforced into stone during the Jiajing period. At that time, Tianchang ancient city had a considerable scale and became an important fortress in the depths of Taihang Mountain.

Tianchang Ancient Town is similar to Pingyao Ancient Town. It has a small south gate and a south gate at the same time. Guanyin Pavilion on the small south gate was built in the Wanli period of the Ming Dynasty, which entrusted people with their yearning for a better life. The temples in this ancient city also reflected the people's yearning for a better life at that time, but they were the testimony of feudal superstition. From an architectural point of view, it is also very distinctive, at least it still makes me look very beautiful.

Up to now, there are still places of interest in the ancient city, such as Wang Family Courtyard, Ancient Temple, Confucius Temple, Junshan Academy, Xiaonanmen Guanyin Pavilion, etc.

On the wall, we can clearly see that the wall is almost integrated with the residents' houses. In some places, this wall has become a house wall. I think people in this life history should be happy.

The city wall is also damaged in many places, some areas seem to have almost collapsed, and trees have grown on the exposed loess in some places, which makes people feel sorry. There is still a long way to go to learn and compare the development and protection of historical sites in some tourist cities.

A real ancient city should be given due attention and development, so that tourists can understand a period of history and see the vicissitudes of historical sites, and at the same time promote the local economic development, which is sustainable and an important asset in the future.
