1. After the paper is finished, stick a double-sided tape on one end of the yellow paper and a double-sided tape on the upper and lower sides of the rose paper. Lay the paper flat, draw parallel lines at intervals of about 0.5cm with a ruler, and then cut it with a utility knife or a meat cleaver. Folding scissors are not recommended here. If the scissors are folded in half, the crease will affect the overall effect of the lantern.
2. Tear off one of the double-sided tapes of rose red paper, align and paste the yellow paper.
3. After pasting, turn the origami upside down, and then powder another double-sided tape, which is really well aligned with the bottom edge of the yellow paper. There is an arch in the middle.
4. Tear off the two spikes at one end of the lantern, then tear off the yellow double-sided adhesive tape and stick it from one end to the other, and the shape of the lantern will come out.
5. Finally, the lantern is finished by gluing the appropriate handle.

Zigong Lantern Festival lanterns (Zigong Lantern, Zigong Lantern) mainly include craft lanterns, seat lanterns and group lanterns. Among them, the group lantern is the most distinctive, with outstanding folk traditions, classical masterpieces, fairy tales and other themes, which has the characteristics of large-scale, group and linkage, which also makes Zigong Lantern Festival a pearl in the Chinese national lantern festival culture.
Zigong Lantern Festival is ingenious in conception, exquisite in production and unique in materials. Porcelain tableware, glass bottles, cocoons, thin bamboo strips, tie-dyeing and silk can all be used as raw materials for making Yuanxiao. The combination of traditional production technology and modern science and technology has produced colorful lanterns, showing a gorgeous face, which is dizzying, which also pushes Zigong Lantern Festival to a higher artistic realm.
Cultural concept
Lantern is probably the most imaginative and hopeful lantern in Lantern Festival. The custom of watching lanterns on the Lantern Festival originated in the early Han Dynasty. During the Kaiyuan period of the Tang Dynasty, in order to celebrate the country's prosperity and security, people tied lanterns and used flashing lights to symbolize "lucky dragons, rich people and strong country". So far, the custom of lanterns has been widely popular. When Zhu Yuanzhang established Nanjing as his capital, he burned 10,000 water lanterns on the Qinhuai River. During the Yongle period, a lamppost was erected at the Wumen Gate and a "light market" was set outside the Huamen Gate, so that there was still a "dengshikou" street in Peiping.
After the Republic of China, the practice of lanterns still existed, but it was much more prosaic. Fortunately, nowadays, due to the craze in China, lanterns are gradually playing an important role in home decoration. However, some materials of lanterns have changed from paper and bamboo to cloth, plastic and iron wire, and their shapes and colors are very different from traditional ones.
