Pingyao Contemporary Wushu Master--Meng Shaoming

Meng Shaoming, born in 1969, is a native of Liangcun, Pingyao, a member of the Shanxi Xingyiquan Association, and a first-class referee of the provincial martial arts. He comes from a martial arts family and has loved martial arts since he was a child. While inheriting his family's knowledge, he learned everything from Liu Zhanlong and other old masters. After worshipping the famous martial artist Zhang Yuren as a teacher, learn Xingyi Quan, letter boxing, Yue's Lianquan, eight whip, Wang Xinwu taijiquan, etc., and get the martial arts master Zhang Xigui, Jia Baoshou for many years of careful teaching, proficient in a variety of boxing, equipment, sparring attacks, such as more than a hundred more than one set of 108 potential Shaolin scattered hands. He is the inheritor and representative of this rare type of boxing. In 1991, he won the fifth place in the National Xingyiquan Invitational Competition of Traditional Xingyiquan.

In 2009, he was awarded the first place in traditional gunnery in National Xingyiquan Invitational Competition and Shanxi Traditional Wushu Championships.

In 2010, he won the sixth place in the International Xingyiquan Exchange Conference of Optional Xingyiquan, and the first place in the Second Pingyao County Wushu Competition.

In 2011, she was awarded the second place in the National Wushu Invitation Competition and Shanxi Traditional Wushu Championships in the three categories of self-selected Long Fist, Traditional Swordplay and Traditional Gunplay.

2012 First place in the second county-wide Wushu Games.

In 2013, he won the first place in traditional sword fighting and the second place in long fist of his choice in the National Traditional Wushu Invitational Tournament and Shanxi Province Traditional Wushu Dispersed Hand Ring Championship.

In 2015, he was awarded the first place in the National Wushu Traditional Martial Arts Invitational Tournament & Shanxi Province Traditional Wushu Championships of Xingyi, Five Elements, and Twelve Forms, the second place in Long Fist of Choice, the third place in Cannon and Hammer, Short Fist, Scattered Hand Fist and two traditional knife arts, and the fifth place in Traditional Xingyi Knife and Sword Arts.

In 2017, he was awarded the title of Excellent Boxer of Pingyao County.

In 2018, he was awarded the first place in both boxing, and equipment in the adult group of Pingyao County Wushu Games.

His main disciples are:Ji Zengfeng, Ji Lunhai, Shi Chengrong, Zhang Baoping, Zhang Xibao, Liu Tianming, Liu Weixiong, Li Weidong, Li Pengxiang, and his daughter, Meng Junxiu, his son, Meng Junlong and more than twenty others.

He is the author of "Letter Boxing", "Eight Immortal Swords", etc. In 2012, the second issue of "Combat" magazine was featured under the title of "Famous Masters of Wushu".

Meng Shaoming is not only a martial arts return disciple of Mr. Zhang Yuren, but also a disciple of Mr. Zhang Yuren's Chinese painting, whose paintings have been exhibited many times. He also loves collecting paintings, calligraphy and books, which can be described as a chivalrous and elegant style.
