How to match UEFI + GPT and BIOS + MBR?
There are no four combinations at all.
\x0d\1. The traditional motherboard is the traditional BIOS, which can install a 32-bit or 64-bit operating system on a hard disk using the MBR partition table (commonly known as MBR disk, which is the traditional and commonly used mode).
It also supports hard drives using GUID partition tables (commonly known as GPT disks), but the operating system cannot be installed on this hard drive.
\x0d\2. New motherboards use UEFI BIOS and can only install a 64-bit operating system on a hard drive using a GUID partition table (commonly known as a GPT disk).
MBR disks are also supported, but the operating system cannot be installed on this hard drive.
\x0d\ Therefore, whether the motherboard has a traditional BIOS or a UEFI BIOS, both GPT disks and MBR disks can be used at the same time, but there is a clear difference when it comes to installing the operating system: motherboards with traditional BIOS can only use MBR disks to install the operating system;
Motherboards with UEFI BIOS can only install 64-bit operating systems on GPT disks.
\x0d\In addition, XP does not recognize GPT disks, which has nothing to do with the motherboard BIOS.
