Printing is the last process of making woodcut prints. Black and white woodcut printing is not difficult, master the operation method, practice a few times, with experience, everyone can print well.

The whole process of printing can be broken down into the following steps:

1. Prepare the plate: the engraved plate is placed flat on the desktop, the lower edge of the sampan is best parallel to the edge of the desktop, the surrounding area should be cleaned up.

2. Adjust the ink: use the color mixing knife to take out the right amount of ink from the ink tank, spread on the ink pad, only a thin layer. Then use the rubber roller dipped in ink on the ink blending board repeatedly rolling, so that the rubber roller surface evenly adheres to the ink, if the rolling in the rustling sound, observe the surface of the oil roller such as fine sandpaper, the amount of ink that is just right.

3. Rolling Ink: Roll the oil roller in the layout evenly and vigorously, so that the layout of the ink evenly. Special attention should be paid to rather use thin ink a few more times, do not roll the ink too thick at once. Too thick will be the layout of the subtle part of the mushy dead, printed out the image of blurred lines, a black blur.

4. Overlay: the paper and the layout of the four sides of the paper parallel to the good, gently placed on the plate, with the hand wipe again, the paper will be rolled flat, so that the paper is tightly attached to the layout.

5. Grinding: with bamboo shoots skin rubbing or wood grinding mushrooms on the back of the paper strong and even back and forth grinding pressure, in the grinding of the printing, do not be too hasty. Pay special attention to the plate or paper on whether there is sand or wood shavings, once found to be promptly removed, otherwise in, grinding printing will damage the paper.

6. Check: gently uncover half of the printing paper to see if the ink is evenly printed on the paper, if not black enough, you can once again roll the ink on the plate, cover the paper, smooth reset, printing, printing half, and then uncover the other half, ink, reset, continue to print.

7. Uncover the painting: after checking to achieve the desired effect, you can lift all the paper, a woodcut even if printed, drying collection.
