Characteristics of Indian Classical Music

Indian classical music is divided into two main schools of thought: the North Indian one is called Hindustani and the South Indian one is called Carnatic (or Karnatak). From Kashmir (Kashmir) in the north, to Punjab in the west, to Bengal and Assam in the east, and finally to Maharashtra and north Karnataka in the south were influenced by Hindustani (North Indian music).
