Salty soup balls are a popular winter solstice delicacy in the Putian area of ??Dongguan.

On a cold winter solstice night, use chicken, ribs, lean meat, black oysters, squid, scallops, dried shrimps, and mushrooms to make a pot of thick soup. Break the glutinous rice strips into finger-thick pieces into small pieces and put them into the soup pot.
