Established in 1956, Changsha Wangcheng Vocational Secondary School is the only full-time public secondary vocational school in Wangcheng District. The school is a national reform and development demonstration secondary vocational school and a national key vocational secondary school.

The national advanced unit of rural adult education, the national advanced collective of moral education in secondary vocational schools, and the national model school of environmental education are the construction units of "Chuyi" high-quality secondary vocational school in Hunan Province and Changsha Senior Vocational School.
