The Inheritance Value of Kazak Aits

Aites has a long history, deep roots and wide social influence, and is also very popular in countries and regions where Kazakhs live in compact communities, such as Kazakhstan, Mongolia, Turkey, Uzbekistan and other countries. For example, Akon 1992 of China won the championship in one fell swoop when singing with Akon people in Kazakhstan. 1993 went to Turkey to play and sing, which was well received.

As an art form, knowledge performance and singing were widely used in ancient times. Especially after Islam and the new civilization in Europe spread to kazakh steppe, in order to spread new knowledge, doctrines and canon, Aken people played and sang in the gathering place in the form of mutual questions and answers after learning relevant knowledge. However, in Aites after 2000, there are fewer and fewer types of common sense singing, such as knowledge singing, guessing singing and fish singing, or they are on the verge of being lost.

With the development of market economy and the diversification of cultural life, people's aesthetic needs have begun to change greatly, and the younger generation of Kazak people are less and less interested in Aite. This ancient traditional art is in danger of extinction. It is very necessary and urgent to rescue and master this art form, which is decreasing or even on the verge of extinction, to make the past serve the present and carry forward it.

The state attaches great importance to the protection of intangible cultural heritage. On May 20th, 2006, Quyi was approved by the State Council to be included in the first batch of national intangible cultural heritage list.
