How to carry out project management

Project management is generally divided into five major processes, namely, project establishment stage, project planning stage, project execution stage, project monitoring stage and project closing stage.

Project start-up: The start-up process aims at setting the overall goal of the project and announcing the formal establishment of the project. Usually, the project manager participates in but does not lead the project startup, which is led by the project sponsor or senior management.

Project planning: The planning process aims to refine the project objectives and make a project plan for achieving the project objectives.

Project execution: The execution process aims at obtaining resources, carrying out the work in the project plan and achieving the project objectives.

Project monitoring: The monitoring process will run through all project processes. In addition to special post-event monitoring, more monitoring work will be carried out simultaneously with other work.

Project Closure: The closure process aims to formally close the project and update the organizational process assets.

In the process of project management, in addition to the above five process groups, we should also pay special attention to the following key elements, which are the basic contents that must be paid attention to in project management:

1. Reasonable division of labor and clear responsibilities. Reasonable division of labor can improve work efficiency and the responsibilities of project members can be unified.

2. Work specifications. Members of the project team must abide by the same work discipline and norms, which is the basis of cooperation.

3. the goal is the same. The whole project team must have a common goal and plan to guide the follow-up work.

4. Resource optimization. As an integrator, the project manager needs to strive for and allocate resources reasonably.

5. Smooth communication channels. It is necessary to ensure the normal communication channels inside and outside the project, and communicate and solve problems in time.

6. Treat every member fairly. It is necessary to conduct reasonable performance management for employees and treat all members fairly and equally.

7. Team building. A good team atmosphere can improve the morale of members.
