What is the difference between Taoism and Confucianism?
In a word, Taoism is the unity of man and nature, while Confucianism is the unity of man and nature. What is governing the country? It's treating people. So which one is more suitable?
Man and nature produce science, and man and man produce psychology. About 2000 years ago, we entered the comprehensive farming society of the Zhou Dynasty. As the population increases, the population density increases. Coupled with the fierce competition between people in duel field, in the Central Plains, the ceremony collapsed and the music was broken, so the humanitarian route was taken. The nation chose Confucianism, and it was never the rulers who forced Confucianism on the people. Confucianism is the worst one to be hacked.
Why did we oppose Confucianism in modern times? Because Confucianism did not provide scientific thinking, rationality and the logic of the unity of man and nature, we fell behind in science and technology, were beaten, and entered the national trough. But this is not the fault of Confucianism, it is the choice of the country for Confucianism. Otherwise, we can't maintain such a large collective stability, and there is no order in society, and we can't unite to resist barbarian aggression. God is fair. On the one hand, doing well, on the other hand, will be relatively poor, not perfect. Being able to follow the humanitarian line is a gift from heaven, because science can be learned, while humanism is difficult to learn. It takes a long time to understand and remember after going through hardships and tribulations, which is not as simple as learning science.
Whether it is agriculture or industrialization, it can solve the basic survival problem of population, increase population and let human beings enter the humane society. Humanism is a way that human beings must master. Western science is developed, but it lacks humanities. Many things can't be done well without technology. Can we fight the epidemic? Can they maintain a country with such a large population? This is not a technical problem.
Confucianism needs to be rehabilitated, and we need to know it objectively. It can't be blacked out any more.
Governing the country by Taoism begins with Taoism, that is, nature, aiming at self-determination for the people. Confucianism is more important in governing the country than preaching, with traditional ideas and viewpoints, and dedicated to serving the officials and the people. This is the difference between Laozi and Confucius.
Taoist thought is formed on the basis of summarizing the history of human rise and fall. Taoism advocates that rulers are quiet and want nothing, governing by doing nothing, and opposing excessive disturbance to the people. This political proposition has played a positive role in stabilizing people's lives and developing social economy. Secondly, for the people, Taoism advocates the policy of ignorance. Politically, Confucianism advocates the rule of virtue, the rectification of name and the moralization and etiquette of politics. Confucianism advocates benevolence and requires rulers to care about the people and be lenient with others. In that era when wars were frequent and people's lives were not guaranteed, Confucianism put forward benevolence, which was of great progressive significance. This is the political difference between Taoism and Confucianism.
It takes a long time for an idea to be respected until it dominates people's hearts! The thought of ruling people's hearts in the Western Han Dynasty was the "Huang Lao thought" that had been admired before the Emperor Gaozu period, rather than the Confucian thought just established by Emperor Wu of the Han Dynasty.
What is "Huang Lao Thought"? To put it simply, it is the national pride of taking the "Yellow Emperor Thought" as the national character and posing as the authentic China people; And with "Laozi's thought" to conform to the people's hearts, rest and develop the economy! Because of the pride of "China orthodoxy", there will be a domineering attitude of "making me strong, although I will be punished far away"! Because of Laozi's thought of "responding to people with Tao", we will have a good attitude towards the Huns after the reform, and there will be no tragic news of mass slaughter of prisoners of war in the pre-Qin period! Han is called "Han Yan" and belongs to the "fire virtue" in the theory of five virtues of Yin and Yang!
During the period of Emperor Wu of the Han Dynasty, some pedants opposed the war against Xiongnu, and suggested that they should continue to send beautiful women to please Attila, "save the country by curve"! Emperor Wu of the Han Dynasty was very annoyed. He directly asked Confucian scholars if they could protect a city. Corrupt scholars who just want to keep their heads down and be content with the status quo have been pushing away from the big cities proposed by Emperor Wu of the Han Dynasty, and finally they have no retreat and stubbornly taken over a small county. But he was killed by the Huns soon after he came to power, and then the pedant didn't dare to oppose the war. In fact, pedantic scholars are like mollusks, pervasive, utilitarian and fruit-picking. Therefore, there is an old saying that "a strong man often sees a dog butcher, and most of them are scholars"!
Confucianism has been imperceptible for a long time, and its development to dominate people's hearts was after the Eastern Han Dynasty, and it reached the peak of unification in the Song Dynasty.
The most typical example of "repaying evil with good" is Sima Guang in the Northern Song Dynasty. After taking power, he gave Xixia the strategic place where the military strategists struggled hard during Wang Anshi's reign, but Xixia did not receive this feeling, and he also "returned good for evil." Song dynasty is a typical dynasty in which Confucian scholars were in power and finally died because of shrinking their heads and enjoying themselves!
In addition to the fundamental reasons for class contradictions, there are many reasons for the demise of the dynasty. The Han Dynasty was destroyed by force (warlord regime), the Tang Dynasty was destroyed by freedom (warlord regime expanded), the Song Dynasty was destroyed by rich households (Confucian government was timid), and the Ming Dynasty was just destroyed (Jiu Jitsu was inflexible), each with its own lessons!
Taoism follows the law. Advocate and encourage the discovery of subjective initiative.
Taoism is about justice, and everything goes with the flow. Confucianism stresses human relations and benevolence.
Laozi's Taoism advocates "following the Tao", living and governing the world with "Tao" as the core and world outlook as the model.
For example, Lao Tzu said, "Tao always does nothing." If Hou Wang can keep it, everything will be self-sufficient. "That is, Tao rules the world by its inaction mode, so as long as human society co-governs with the people by the inaction mode and does not run counter to it, it can" be the same as Tao "or" govern by inaction "and promote social development and progress.
Therefore, Lao Tzu said, "It is the world wind for saints to embrace one." And "for it, it is not chaotic." And "I do nothing and the people make it" and "I love the people and govern the country. Can I do nothing?" And "teaching without words, the benefits of inaction, the world also wants."
In short, as early as 2,000 years ago, Lao Tzu had found a way to govern the country that best conforms to Tao (its formula and rules), virtue (the spirit of Tao's propaganda of virtue) and nature (that is, "the nature of assisting everything").
Therefore, Lao Tzu opposes all subjective and promising political opinions. The first thing to bear the brunt is the Confucian political proposition of governing the country with courtesy, benevolence and wisdom. For example, "courtesy, loyalty and thinness, chaos first." That is, ruling the country with feudal autocratic etiquette will inevitably lead to the prevalence of hypocrisy and cunning, which is the chief culprit of social unrest.
Therefore, Lao Tzu said that "the waste of the avenue has righteousness." When wisdom comes out, there is a big holiday. " And "abandon wisdom and benefit the people a hundred times." Put all your eggs in one basket and abandon righteousness, and the people are filial. "and" rule the country with wisdom, the thief of the country is also. "It is a blessing for the country not to rule the country with wisdom."
History has also proved that Confucianism is an accomplice of feudal autocratic monarchs to oppress and fool the people, and it is also the chief culprit to hinder the progress of social civilization.
Taoism is a towering mountain peak.
Confucianism, Taoism and Panshan Road meet Taoism from top to bottom.
Laozi said, "Tao, Tao, Tao is extraordinary." Metaphysical (Tao) is both (Taoism) and (extraordinary Tao).
Confucius said; "One yin and one yang is the Tao".
The secret of the world lies in husband (one yin) and wife (one yang). A husband is masculine, but he must know Yin. If a woman is yin, she must understand yang. Embracing Yin and Yang is Tai Chi, Tai Chi is the beginning of all things, and ethics begins from now on. Father gives birth, son gives birth, and the world is endless.
Development is infinite.
Return, mysterious and mysterious.
If you don't return, the world will be weak.
In the spring and autumn, a seed is scattered all over the sky, hiding the world in a millet.
Life has spring and autumn, and life is great.
Governing the country regardless of Confucianism and Taoism. But according to the law, it has been like this since ancient times. This is the king!
Taoism does not govern the country, nor does it govern the country.
If you believe what the Tao Te Ching says, it is right to rule by doing nothing and say that the family will not be cured.
Think of those capable masters during the period of unifying the six countries. Their disciples went out to govern the country, and the master only disciplined their disciples. Su Qin and Zhang Yi can run the country, but they can't be like their masters. Why is this?
Confucius, the founder of Confucianism, did not govern the country either. The people who govern the country are those who study Confucianism. After learning, you must mix your own thoughts. Confucian scholars are different from Confucius!
Confucianism and Taoism are both human thoughts and understandings. Why is there no unified understanding of correctness in people's ideological understanding?
All the problems of Confucianism belong to Confucius! Taoist problems are all Lao Tzu's! It's normal, because I don't know who the problem is, but I know there are Laozi and Confucius.
Jiang Ziya didn't run a country, but he was a god. After sealing the gods, anyone who comes to govern the country can be cured. Because ordinary people don't need to be governed, don't take the road, don't close the door at night, and everyone is autonomous.
This is the Tao! Can legalists understand? If you lose your virtue, you will lose your virtue and then be benevolent. ...........
Reality is reality. If people can't rule the country by virtue, they must rule the country by law. It is not only the luck of the country, but also the luck of the world that everyone is virtuous to the point of Tao!
