What are the characteristics and types of water supply sources?

Water supply sources can be divided into groundwater and surface water.

Underground water sources include diving, flowing water (confined water) and spring water. Groundwater has the characteristics of clear water quality, colorless and tasteless, constant water temperature and not easy to be polluted, but its runoff is small, salinity and hardness are high.

Surface water mainly refers to the water of rivers, lakes and reservoirs. Due to the great influence of the natural environment in the basin, the water quality often changes greatly. For example, the turbidity and water temperature of surface water vary greatly, and water is easily polluted. However, the salinity and hardness of water are low, the content of iron and other substances is low, and the runoff is large, but the seasonal variation is strong.
