What does cellular network mean?

Cellular network is a kind of mobile communication hardware architecture, which is divided into analog cellular network and digital cellular network. Because the signal coverage of each communication base station that constitutes the network coverage is hexagonal, the whole network is named honeycomb.

Common types of cellular networks are: GSM network (called pcs- 1900 in some countries), CDMA network, 3G network, FDMA, TDMA, PDC, TACS, AMPS and so on.

The biggest advantage of cellular phone is that the frequency can be reused. As you may know, when we communicate by mobile phone, everyone has to occupy a channel, that is, the system has to take out a channel for you. When there are more people talking at the same time, the limited channels may not be used enough, so there will be communication congestion. Using cellular structure, the same group of frequencies can be reused in several cells separated by a certain distance, thus saving frequency resources.
