What are the positions in basketball?
Basketball has five positions: the number one organizational point guard, the number two scoring point guard, the number three small forward, the number four power forward, and the number five center. The number one position is the running brain and commander of the team. The number two position is responsible for penetration and shooting. The three is the front line swingman, defensive gate and offensive weapon. The four is the power forward, responsible for defense, rebounding and jamming. The number five center is responsible for guarding the basketball box and grabbing rebounds.
