What's whiskey?
The brewing process of whisky is divided into six steps: germination, saccharification, fermentation, distillation, aging and blending. The origin of whisky has not been verified, but it is certain that Scotland has been producing whisky for more than 500 years, so it is generally believed that this is the birthplace of all whiskies.
Whiskey can be drunk directly, or you can add water, ice, soda water and green tea according to your personal taste. In cold Scotland, there is a traditional whisky called HotToddy. Toddy's brewing methods are quite diverse. The mainstream blending methods are mostly based on scotch whisky, adding lemon juice and honey, then adding brown sugar and cinnamon according to everyone's needs and preferences, and finally blending with hot water, which becomes a delicious wine.
The classification of whisky is mainly based on raw materials, storage time, alcohol content and origin. According to different raw materials, whisky can be divided into single malt whisky, grain whisky and rye whisky.
Whiskey preservation method:
1, dark storage: When storing whisky, direct sunlight should be avoided, otherwise the light will decompose the substances in the whisky, leading to the deterioration of the whisky.
2. Small bottle preservation: If you buy a large bottle of whisky, you can also package the wine into several small bottles. In this way, whisky is not easy to oxidize and can be stored for a longer time.
3, wine cabinet preservation: wine is also afraid of light, afraid of high temperature, afraid of vibration, and even more sensitive than whiskey, so the wine storage cabinet used to preserve wine is also suitable for preserving whiskey. If possible, the best choice is a wine storage cabinet.
