Basic situation of Baoan library

The existing services of the library are all managed by computer network, and the "lending and returning" service has been opened with libraries in Shenzhen and various districts. At the same time, branch libraries have been set up in every street and some communities, and online joint editing and card lending have been fully implemented between the main library and branch libraries. In addition to the traditional lending and information services, the library also provides readers with free digital library information services, public cultural lectures, local literature collections and other special services, and extends various services to streets, communities, enterprises and industrial areas.

Construction of digital library: the library has formed a digital library collection system integrating books, newspapers and periodicals and thematic databases. The library website was officially opened in February 2006, with more than 3 1 10,000 hits, 8 special databases 18, 88,000 kinds of e-books and 0/10,000 kinds of e-journals.

Reader-oriented activities: The library successfully holds many major theme activities such as "April 23rd" World Reading Day, Foreign Youth Workers Culture Festival, Shenzhen Reading Month, Civic Culture Lecture Hall, etc., and insists on holding weekly brand reader activities such as "Baotu Weekly Lecture" and "Baotu English Salon", which are well received by readers.

Collection and development of local documents: There are more than 4,000 local documents in our library, mainly including books on law, politics, literature, economy, art, history and geography. He has successively edited and published Bao 'an Documentary (Volume I), Bao 'an Documentary (Volume II) and Bao 'an Sculpture Geography, introduced the collected local authors and their works, and comprehensively demonstrated the great changes and fruitful achievements in Bao 'an District of Shenzhen since the reform and opening up.

Construction of public library service system: there are 1 municipal public libraries, street-level libraries 16, standard community libraries 124 and mobile libraries 102 in the whole district, forming a relatively perfect public library with district libraries as the center, street libraries as the backbone and community and mobile libraries as the nodes. The public libraries in the whole region have a total collection of 4124,000 volumes, a total of 7,082 reading rooms, and receive about 3.87 million readers annually.
