The origin of the twenty-four solar terms The twenty-four solar terms originally originated in the Yellow River Basin. They are the crystallization of the long-term wisdom of the working people in ancient times. They are also the calendar used to guide the farming season in ancient times.
In the beginning, during the Spring and Autumn Period, there were four solar terms: mid-spring, mid-summer, mid-autumn, and mid-winter. Later, with the changes of dynasties and the expansion of culture, the twenty-four solar terms were completely established by the Qin and Han dynasties.

The beginning of spring, the beginning of summer, the beginning of autumn, and the beginning of winter represent the arrival of the four seasons; the amount of rainfall increases during the rain, and the day and night are distinct during the vernal equinox; the summer solstice represents the sun shining directly on the Tropic of Cancer, the arrival of summer, and the Great Heat, which is the hottest time of the year; the end of summer represents the end of summer
