The origin of the first ginkgo tree in the world

At the foot of Fulai Mountain in Juxian County, there is a ginkgo tree over 3000 years old.

According to legend, this ginkgo tree was planted by the Duke of Zhou in the early Western Zhou Dynasty. According to historical records, the Duke of Zhou's eastward expedition crossed the "Guimeng", so it is somewhat credible to set foot on Fulai Mountain. This ginkgo tree has a strong vitality and is still flourishing. Mr. Wang Binglong, a contemporary calligrapher, wrote the inscription "The First Ginkgo Tree in the World". Trees are amazing, and the stories triggered by trees are also very interesting.

According to legend, during the Jiajing period of the Ming Dynasty, a scholar in Dongyi, Juxian County went to Beijing to catch the exam. When it rained on the road, he went to shelter under this huge ginkgo tree. Suddenly, he was interested in seeing how thick the tree was, so he measured the circumference of the tree in the form of cuddling. The scholar actually hugged him seven times and didn't turn to the starting point. Just when he wanted to hug the eighth, he was startled by the scene before him-a young woman stood at the starting point of the scholar tree. It turns out that young women also come to shelter from the rain under the big ginkgo tree. Because the tree was too big, neither of them saw it. What shall we do? The scholar wanted to let the young woman out of the way, but he was too embarrassed to speak and didn't want to give up his own measurement, so he had to change his tactics and quietly walked beside the young woman. When he counted to the eighth, he just came to the young woman's side, and the young woman didn't even notice. However, how to measure the position of a young woman's body? The scholar couldn't think of any other way, so he had to measure the young woman's body width into length. So the tree circumference of ginkgo tree becomes "seven hugs and eight feet and one daughter-in-law"

Hundreds of years have passed, and the ginkgo tree has already surpassed the "seven hugs, eight feet and one daughter-in-law", but the anecdote of "seven hugs, eight feet and one daughter-in-law" has been circulated in the surrounding villages for generations.

Now, this ancient ginkgo tree has been protected by the local cultural relics department. The ancient ginkgo tree is still full of vitality.
