How many days after death?

From the date of the death of the deceased, every seven days is a memorial day, which is called "the first seven days", "the last seven days", "the third seven days", "the fourth seven days", "the fifth seven days", "the sixth seven days" and "the last seven days", totaling 49 days.

For the "first seven", the way to pay homage is to set up coffins at home, pay homage to the wood owner, burn incense and candles, burn incense and worship, burn paper boxes and cymbals, and ask the monks to recite scriptures and confess.

On February 27th, the ceremony was simple. On this day, the family prepared wine, served soup and rice as a souvenir, burned paper and invited Taoist priests to chant Buddhist scriptures.

"Sanqi", also known as "Sanqi", this night, the dutiful sons lit incense, shouted the name or title of the deceased at the fork in the road, or went to the grave to burn incense to take the deceased home and set wine at home.

April 7th is a simple ceremony. On this day, family members prepare wine, offer soup and rice, and burn paper to pay homage.

"May 7th", in July 7th, May 7th ceremony is particularly heavy. On this day, mourners held a memorial ceremony, burned paper, and asked monks and Taoist priests to set off the flame. Relatives and friends also bring paper money, tin foil ingots (or cash) to help sacrifice, and have a banquet at the funeral. Some burn people with paper, and there are pavilions with built-in tin foil ingots; There are Jinshan and Yinshan, and the mountains are dotted with flowers, birds and animals. During the ceremony, these documents were taken to the grave for incineration.

"Looking up" means that at midnight on the sixth day after the death of the deceased, that is, in the early morning of the seventh day, the family held a crying ceremony. Burn the "first seven" during the day, and then sacrifice once every seven days until the "July 7".
