How should Chinese medicine suffer?

There is no doubt that the decocting method of traditional Chinese medicine is related to its curative effect, and traditional Chinese medicine generally has its own decocting procedure. First, soak it to soften it. Pour the medicine into a medicine pot, soak it in clear water for a period of time at room temperature and then decoct it. In general, the whole grass, flowers, leaves, stems and skins are soaked for about 20 minutes, and the roots, seeds, fruits, minerals and other hard drugs are soaked for about 40 minutes. Chinese medicine should also be soaked in water after decoction. After softening, you should suffer. Pay attention to the heat when frying, make it strong before cooking, and then change it to low heat after cooking. At the same time, attention should be paid to stamping when decocting to prevent volatile components from escaping from the drug during decocting. Wait until the medicine is prescribed, and then start timing. The decocting time of traditional Chinese medicine varies according to its medicinal properties. For example, the tonic with strong taste should be decocted for a long time, and then decocted with slow fire for about an hour after boiling, so that the effective components in the medicine can be better dissolved in water; Some toxic drugs, such as aconite root and raw Pinellia tuber, can reduce or eliminate their toxicity if they are decocted with slow fire for a long time. And the decocting time is slightly longer; If it is an exterior-relieving medicine for treating colds and contains volatile active ingredients, such as mint, it should be decocted for a little less time to prevent the active ingredients of the medicine from volatilizing, otherwise it will have no curative effect. Exterior-relieving drugs cannot be decocted for a long time, usually fifteen minutes after boiling. A dose of traditional Chinese medicine is usually decocted for three times, and it is best to filter the soup with gauze while it is hot, and then combine the soup of the three times and put it in a sealed container. Generally, the dosage of decoction is about 250 ml for adults (equivalent to an ordinary rice bowl full of eight points) and about 150 ml for children (equivalent to half a bowl of ordinary rice bowl). The quality of the preparation determines the curative effect, so the traditional decoction procedure must be followed when processing the decoction pieces into the preparation to ensure the quality and curative effect of the preparation.
