Introduction to Qufu

Qufu is a county-level city under the jurisdiction of Shandong Province, which is managed by Jining City. Confucius' hometown is the hometown of Huangdi, the old capital of Shennong, the old country of Shang and Yin, and the capital of Zhou and Han Dynasties. It is an important birthplace of oriental culture, known as the "Holy City of the East" and also known as "Oriental Jerusalem". Located in the southwest of Shandong Province, it is 35 km away from the provincial capital Jinan/KLOC-0 in the north, near Surabaya in the east, Yanzhou in the west, Zoucheng in the south and Taishan in the north.
