Are all the martial arts in martial arts novels true?
As for Shaolin Temple, after the Yuan Dynasty, people who were often hospitalized (where monks lived) were divided into four factions: the East, the West, the South and the North. The masters of each faction were in charge of their own affairs, especially in martial arts. They accepted disciples, spread secrets and kept secrets from each other, resulting in a situation in which even Shaolin Temple monks and different masters learned different kung fu. This phenomenon has been circulating until today. Seventy-two Shaolin Arts appeared under the above background. It was in 1934 that a gentleman named Jin Nao visited Shaolin Temple and learned from Miao Xing, the abbot of Shaolin Temple and a famous martial arts master. According to the old theory of "thirty-six hard and thirty-six soft" in Shaolin Temple and his own martial arts foundation, he compiled the book "Seventy-two Shaolin Arts", which formed the theory of "Seventy-two Shaolin Arts". But after all, most of them are Miaoxing monks, and Miaoxing monks are only the representatives of the martial arts in the west courtyard of Shaolin Temple, so it is difficult to fully represent the martial arts of Shaolin Temple.
After Mr. Jin, Zhen Jun and other monks in the South Courtyard also compiled the Seventy-two Laws of Shaolin. Since then, Yongxiang monk has also compiled Seventy-two Arts. What they have in common is that they all list 72 kinds of kungfu, all of which are named "Seventy-two Arts", but they have their own characteristics in content. Monk Yongxiang is a modern man and a successor of western learning. On the basis of inheriting Mr. Jin's Seventy-two Arts, he absorbed the strengths of the South Academy, added and deleted the original book, supplemented various kung fu exercises, and the content was very detailed and the language was relatively popular. It can be said that he summed up the internal and external merits of Shaolin very well, which can be called "the authentic seventy-two arts of Shaolin".
Except for most of the 72 martial arts practiced by Shaolin monks, which are the same as those written by Miao Xing and Mr. Jin Jingping, they are different, including bronze sand palm, kicking leg, snake action, iron bead belt, stone Gong Zhuang, whirlwind palm, golden dragon hand, magic knife chop, mysterious fist, golden sand palm, five poisons chasing palm, golden shovel finger skill, board running skill and golden knife changing palm skill. In addition, there are mind handles, iron leaning, one thousand feet, meteor legs, jade bottles hanging upside down, post-hitting skills, attacking people from outside, and falling demons at night.
