What's the matter with your ducklings getting together? Duckling, is there anything else to pay attention to?
What happened when the ducklings got together?
Ducklings gather mainly because the temperature of brooding is too low. In order to keep warm, the ducklings will pile up with each other, and the ducklings will be crushed, suffocated or dehydrated, so once the breeder finds the ducklings crowded together, it needs to be stopped in time. Ducklings in piles are chased every 1-2 hours, and the temperature is controlled at 30-32℃, and it is not allowed to go up and down. If the ducklings are close to the heat source, close to each other, squat upright, curl up and scream often, indicating that the temperature is too low; If the duckling stays away from the heat source, breathes with his mouth open, his back hair is wet, and his water consumption increases and his food intake decreases, it means that the temperature is too high and needs to be readjusted until the temperature is right.
Matters needing attention in raising ducks:
1, feeding density
Feeding density should be determined according to the structure, feeding equipment, ventilation, management level, climate and conditions at that time. Generally speaking, 300 to 500 ducklings are more suitable. On the flat ground, about 20 capsules per square meter in the first week, about 14 capsules in the second week and no more than 10 capsules after three weeks; In the case of raising ducks in cages and nets, the breeding density may be slightly higher than that on the ground.
2. Ventilation conditions
Pay attention to heat preservation and ventilation when brooding. The easiest way is to open tall windows when the weather is hot at noon and make good ventilation by using the temperature difference between inside and outside the house. However, it should be noted that ventilation should not cause significant changes in indoor temperature.
Step 3: Humidity
The suitable relative humidity for brooding is 65-70%, which is close to the humidity during the incubation period of ducklings, and it can prevent ducklings from breathing dry air, dispersing a lot of water in their bodies and affecting their normal operation.
4. Lighting time
24 hours in the first week, 23 hours in the second week and 22 hours in the third week. Light intensity: brooding period is 0-3 days, light intensity is 40-60 watts/20m2, light intensity is 4 days/20m2 15-20 watts.
Generally speaking, the flock of ducklings is mainly caused by improper adjustment of brooding temperature, and the importance of temperature to brooding management is self-evident. In addition, duck breeding should pay attention to management issues such as humidity, density, ventilation and light.
