What color is the best floor tile?

The indoor area is 90 and the dining room is about 30. I want to be a new Chinese style. Many people recommend light gray floor tiles and go to see many tile sellers. Gray seems to be the main color now, but I don't like it very much. I want to choose a brighter color, such as white or beige. I don't know if it looks good or not.
