You will know that the food in Yangzhou is far more than Yangzhou fried rice, candied haws and pickles. For a native of Yangzhou, the love for this city is natural and beyond words. Yangzhou is a city with a slow pace of life and is suitable for enjoyment, so there will be leisure in the morning and water in the evening. Yangzhou is also an exquisite city. Whether it's Huaiyang cuisine, the beautiful Slender West Lake, or the world-famous tea and snacks, they all show a rich and guaranteed exquisiteness. Today, I just want to show the other side of Yangzhou, which I like, through my own camera, and abandon commercial propaganda. No tall buildings, no food, no strong commercial atmosphere. If you also like the indelible taste in your memory, then come with me and let you feel Yangzhou with a more lively atmosphere. Let's start with Dongguan Street, which is very popular. In fact, I still like Dongguan Street before the renovation, although the alley is very narrow. There are many snack bars in this street, and there is a seller selling Huangqiao sesame cakes in the east of the street, as well as miso soup, bean curd brain and miso soup. There is also one on the west side of the street, and the business is too hot. I've only tasted it once, and it tastes so-so. There are also some snacks in the street, such as stacked soup gardens, long fish noodles and lotus root starch soup gardens. Lotus root starch soup garden is not recommended for everyone to taste, neither sweet nor salty. Many other cakes, such as ginger candy, sesame candy, tuckahoe cake, etc. I haven't eaten it myself and don't want to introduce it more. And some childhood memories. The west entrance of Dongguan Street is Guoqing Road, and crossing the road to the west is Caiyi Street, which is also an old street. We will introduce it later. First, follow me around Yangzhou Old Town along Guoqing Road. Guoqing Road is a street named to celebrate the founding of New China. There are many century-old shops in this street, such as Fuchun, Daqin Pavilion, Caigenxiang, Mishima, Sanhe Simei, Xie Fuchun and Luyangchun. First of all, the west entrance of Dongguan Street is not far to the south. On the east side of the road, there is a Zhu Ji beef shop. There is nothing special about beef soup. My favorite is its baked wheat cake, which is full of alkaline flavor. Behind it is the East Ring Gate, and Double East Street refers to Dongguan Street and East Ring Gate. However, the development of Dongguan Street is relatively mature now, and hotels with only a few intersections in the East Circle Gate are still quite popular. Those who like quiet can go to the East Ring Gate. Further south, there is also a snack shop with a thriving business-Gongtaosu. I bought peach crisp, which is delicious. There is a long queue every afternoon, just like Xiaojiaping Twist. Go to the crossroads, the northeast corner is Century Lianhua Supermarket, and the southwest corner is the church. This is the center. That's all for the last tour route. After passing the traffic lights, continue south and call Guoqing Road North Road. A century-old shop is concentrated on this road. If you want to try Huangqiao sesame seed cake, there is a Huangqiao sesame seed cake shop next to this road. But I still prefer the most humble alkaline sesame seed cake. Lucy is a teaching ground, which has become neither fish nor fowl after transformation. There is a Jeffery Ji restaurant by the roadside. The food is not bad, but Huaiyang food is sweet, and northerners may not be used to it. Not far to the south, you will reach the alley mouth of the famous Fuchun teahouse. I only went there once last year, and I didn't comment much. Locals basically don't go. Sanhe Simei Sauce Shop is also an old shop, and most pickles taste sweet and fresh. There is a kind of red carrot as a side dish at home, which is washed and chopped at home and mixed with sesame oil. It still smells good, and kohlrabi is also good. And my family always buys more sauces. Next, I recommend the tea (pastry) shop that Yangzhou people like-Daqinlinge. Founded in the late Qing Dynasty, it has a history of 100 years. Daqinlinge specializes in traditional tea and food all the year round, such as Guo Jing, Jingguo powder, inverted tablets, honey three knives, sesame cakes, Jingjiang navel and so on. According to different seasons, we will also sell mung bean cakes, moon cakes, Double Ninth Festival cakes and snowflake cakes. When I was a child, I was not rich in material conditions. Drinking a bowl of refined fruit powder is an advanced nutrition. There are also many chain stores in its home, and only this headquarters still maintains the mode of doing things in front of the store and doing things in the background. I also stubbornly believe that only this store sells the most authentic. Come to the store with me. I bought a bag of snacks and finally felt relieved. . . . This is Jingjiang navel, which sold for only 30 cents in early years. Because it is hexagonal, Yangzhou dialect is also called hexagonal clank. The traditional craft is alkaline noodles, and the ones in Da Qilin Pavilion are quite authentic. Nowadays, the bread noodles made by many snack bars are not called Jingjiang navel. It smells like baking powder. I went to take photos in the morning, and Jingjiang navel will not be sold until the afternoon. This was taken at a roadside stall. Opposite Daqin Linge Store is Xie Fuchun, which is also a century-old shop. Duck egg powder is very famous. When I was a child, perfume was made in its bottle. Now there are many kinds of skin care products, the packaging is very simple and the price is moderate. You can choose some if you are interested. Go find Xie Fuchun, and this is basically over. The intersection is the people's shopping mall, and the old society is the center of Yangzhou city. This is where my parents date and watch movies. People's Shopping Mall is located in Guangling Road in the east and Ganquan Road in the west. Come with me to the south first. There is a duck blood vermicelli shop at the intersection of Dajingliangzi, which is a good duck blood vermicelli in Yangzhou. There is a small restaurant opposite Yoshiko Otai, and the dry mixed noodles are quite authentic. Yangzhou's noodles and wonton are very heavy in soy sauce, so I usually say that white soup contains no soy sauce:) There are many specialty shops further south, so I won't introduce them one by one. If you are interested, let's go shopping by ourselves. Let's go east from People's Shopping Mall into Guangling Road. There is a small Jiaping Twist Shop on Guangling Road, which is also a century-old shop. In the past, Surin Hotel and Xiaojiaping in Xiaojue Town were one, but later they were divided into two for some reason. I once joked with my friend that if there is no queue at the entrance of Xiaojiaping, it is that the sun is coming out in the west. Of course, this line is not empty, and the twist is quite delicious. Another shop I recommend is Jiangjiaqiao jiaozi Noodle Restaurant. Old Yangzhou people often come here for breakfast and afternoon, the price is not expensive, they take the people-friendly route, and their business is also very hot. Its family is most famous for fried dumpling, shrimp wonton and jiaozi noodles. But it's all red soup with Chili. If you don't like it, you must tell the clerk. There are also soup buns and dried silk. Compared with Fuchun Ye Chun, the cost performance is good. The intersection of Jiangjiaqiao is Xuningmen Street, and Heyuan is on this street. The first is fried dumpling, that is, fried meat jiaozi. Yangzhou fried dumpling and wonton are all stuffed with meat. We all like to dip in vinegar when eating pot stickers. Is this wonton or all-meat? If you don't like soy sauce and pepper, you can tell the clerk. Instead of jiaozi noodles, it's actually wonton noodles. After eating Jiangjiaqiao, we turned back from the People's Shopping Mall to the west and entered Ganquan Road. There are no distinctive old shops on Ganquan Road. Basically, they are shops selling clothes. Walking in the middle of the road, there is a frying stall that has been established for many years. There are also many old alleys on both sides of this road, and those who are interested can go in and stroll. If you are lucky, you can also buy snacks such as fire, leek cakes and oil docks. Finally, let's go back to the west intersection of Dongguan Street. We're just going south. Now go west, cross the street and enter Caiyi Street. There are many snacks in it, which will be released around 4 pm. Such as fire, omelet, twist and so on. This is prickly heat, which is very crisp. According to the weight, a catty can be said to be a lot. A shop that sells traditional flour cakes, such as descendants' cakes, shortcakes and so on. They are all special street cakes. At the end of Caiyi Street is Siwangting, which is the center of Yangzhou. There are two restaurants at the intersection, one is Yiyuan and the other is Tianxiangge. Breakfast in Yiyuan Garden was good a few years ago, but now it is said to be poor. I also tasted Tianxiangge food a few years ago. Lion's head, dried shredded pork and Yangzhou fried rice were all up to standard, but now I don't know how they taste. Now when we go out to eat, we all go to the teaching place. There are many nets in the East Ring Gate. Chen Ji's dishes are cost-effective, and the fish with Chinese sauerkraut in the net is good. Let me introduce you again. Where will the locals eat if they don't go to Fuchun? Jiangjiaqiao, which was introduced earlier, was also visited by many locals. If you want to eat more delicately, one is the Garden Teahouse in the west and the other is Jinchun in the east. Jinchun is close to my home and goes to eat more often. I recommend its bean paste buns and three-dimensional buns. The bean paste buns are delicate and sweet, and the three-butyl buns are salty, sweet and juicy. Pine nuts also sell well. Personally, I feel a little oily Yangzhou's cooking is pure glutinous rice, and there is no food. Both stores sell gardens in the morning and afternoon, and you can taste them in both stores. Jinchun can enter the store after breakfast, and only take-away buns are provided in the afternoon. Jinchun's steamed stuffed bun and Shaoshaoyuan teahouse didn't go in, but only took pictures of the storefront. In the past, the company was near the west side and often went to eat in the afternoon. You also need to perm dried silk and meat buns. Its meat steamed stuffed bun is very famous and is said to be a secret recipe. Yangzhou city is very small, and there are no tall buildings. But small towns have the beauty of small towns, more green plants and fresh air. Be sure to visit the ancient canal in the East District in the evening. I hope you like this city, too. Route: If you are a friend of go on road trip, the old city I introduced is not easy to park. You can park your car downtown first. The city center is also close to the old city. If you take the bus, no matter where you choose the route, you will get off at Century Lianhua in the city center. This is the heart zone. I have introduced it before. You can go south from Century Lianhua to Guoqing North Road, where there are many century-old shops, buy some pickles, tea and fragrant incense, and then go to Guangling Road to taste the jiaozi noodles and fried dumpling of Jiangjiaqiao, which is very close to Heyuan. You can also go north to Guoqing South Road and visit Shuangdong Street and Caiyi Street.
