What sport is Saiwei hoop?

Saiweihu is an ancient folk sport of Manchu.

Saiwei Lake means regatta in Manchu. According to legend, on the fifteenth day of the seventh lunar month in the Qing Dynasty, Manchu people not only had the custom of setting off river lanterns by the river, but also held boat races in the water to celebrate the festival.

Because Manchu people are all over the country, and there are no waters in many places, it has been changed into a symbolic land rowing competition (that is, the race), which has been passed down to this day.

Track and field runways can be used for this kind of competition that simulates rowing on land and water. Five people form a team, divided into male, female and mixed groups. The top four runners face straight ahead, the last runner is the helmsman, standing behind, and the five runners put their hands on their sides, face forward and run with bamboo poles.

After the start, in order to keep the pace and running speed of the five athletes in harmony, you can sing a slogan that is easy to master the rhythm. The first team to reach the finish line (the head of the team hits the line) wins. Running distance: 80 meters for young men and women and 60 meters for young men and women.

This project is suitable for teenagers. It can strengthen the leg strength, develop agility, speed and other qualities, and cultivate the spirit of courage and cooperation.
