Which is better, laser or traditional cutting?

These kinds of cutting equipment are the mainstream equipment in the cutting industry at present. Each has its own characteristics and different industry users. Now briefly analyze it.

Wire cutting: high precision, difficult perforation and slow cutting speed. The equipment investment is not large.

Laser cutting: the accuracy is relatively high, and the speed has a great influence on the thickness of the plate, generally within 10 m /MIN. Thick plates cannot be cut (generally less than 25MM), and the equipment investment is quite large. Suitable for large-scale processing

Water cutting: high precision and slow speed. Not suitable for large-scale processing. The equipment investment is relatively large.

Plasma cutting: high precision (product verticality is not high), fast speed and fast consumables. Suitable for mass processing. Equipment investment is average.

Flame (oxygen) cutting: high precision (large thermal deformation) and slow speed, but multiple tools can be cut at the same time, which is suitable for batch processing. Less equipment investment and low operation cost.

Punch press: it is difficult to produce products with many varieties and few batches, and the products with few varieties and large batches have obvious advantages. It is difficult to cut thick plates. The cost input is average.

Shearing machine (a cutting method presented to the landlord): the curve cutting is not good, the straight line cutting is ok, and the thick plate is difficult.
