What Snow White's Cabin Looks Like

Snow White's cabin is triangular.

Exterior is iron ring door handle, yellow and white color, yellow thatched roof, wooden door carved with two small iron pickaxe, at first glance is the dwarfs used to mining tools.

There was a basket of flowers on a long wooden table in the front yard, which Snow White had picked in the nearby forest.

Cabin Description:

Snow White's castle (Schloss Friedrichstein) is only 14 kilometers away from the village, a distance, we laughingly claim, that Snow White could indeed reach on foot. Otherwise, what would she have to do to escape the clutches of her wicked stepmother, the Queen, if the distance was too great.

The bright yellow baroque Friedrichstein Castle stands on a hill overlooking the old town of Bad Wildungen.

In the 16th century, Margaretha von Waldeck, the beautiful daughter of Count Philip IV, was born here. Her brother built the mining village Bergrechte, and she died very young, presumably from poisoning.

Perhaps the Brothers Grimm were inspired by the folklore gossip circulating here to put together the fairy tale of Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, with the princess's fate as the main thread.
