What are native apps, web apps and hybrid apps?

The term app refers to an app, or application.

A native app is an application that runs directly on the current operating system;

A web app is a web application that runs in a browser, and is called a web app because it has a more robust interface experience and functionality comparable to that of a native app;

A hybrid app is a combination of both. is a combination of the two, usually a native app with a browser embedded.

Taking cell phone APP as an example:

Native application, cool dog music, beauty show, this kind of APP can be called native;

web application, through the UC browser to open the ticket assistant, recharge easy, this kind of is a web application;

Mixed application, Tmall, Ctrip, 58 Tongcheng this kind of APP, most of them in the shell of the native basis of packaging the web page. Most of the apps like Tmall, Ctrip, and 58Town are based on native shells and packaged with web pages, such as 58Town's post, Tmall's event page, and Ctrip's order details page, all of which are inline web implementations.

There are also more cases on the PC side:

Native apps, such as QQ and Xunlei

Web apps, such as the once-flaming page games

Mixed apps, such as the 360 mobile assistant

With the continuous expansion of the software platform and the complexity of the business functions, native apps mostly converge in the direction of the mixed apps. It's actually hard to tell the difference in terms of experience, for example, current Xunlei and QQ already have the practice of hybrid web apps
