Traditional Virtues of the Chinese Nation

1. Summarizing and identifying with traditional virtues is the key to inheriting and carrying forward the fine ethical and moral traditions of the nation, and an extremely important source for the construction of moral civilization in modern China.

2. Traditional virtues are the basic kernel and reasonable kernel in the system of traditional moral norms, referring to those virtues that are accepted and practiced by most people in the moral norms of consciousness or customs, and are consistent throughout the ages, and still play a positive influence in the modern society.

3. There are two kinds of traditional Chinese moral norms: the norms summarized by ethicists or advocated by the ruling class and elevated to the level of theory; and the customary norms that have been widely accepted and practiced in secular life.
