The application of bamboo in interior design

Different shapes of bamboo screens, partitions can create different interior styles. 2. Bamboo door

3. Bamboo Furniture

Bamboo furniture has been loved by people since the Qing Dynasty because of its moisture and heat absorption, smooth texture, strong toughness and durability. To date, with the improvement of production technology, bamboo furniture varieties have gradually increased. Chairs and stools furniture, bamboo chairs using raw bamboo as the material, the selection of different thicknesses of bamboo tubes, through the baking and bending, drilling, mortise and tenon joints, playing bamboo nails and other production methods combined. Figure 2, bamboo and stainless steel with the use of bamboo chairs to enhance the modern sense. Cabinet furniture, bamboo used in cabinet furniture, the use of raw bamboo splicing, or the use of bamboo strips, bamboo rows of panels, round bamboo slices of bamboo curtain panels, mahjong block panels, knitted panels and other materials used in conjunction with the structural form, and finally round bamboo, bamboo gabion strips and other materials for sealing the edge of the treatment so as to make the lines of the varied, varied styles of the bamboo coffee table, TV cabinets, bookcases, closets, and other furniture.

One of the purposes of interior furnishings is to meet the aesthetic needs of people, the key to the design lies in the treatment of the details, the unity of the two is the design of interior furnishings. Bamboo furnishings are mainly: bamboo carving crafts, bamboo crafts, bamboo lamps and so on.

1. Bamboo carving crafts

Bamboo carving crafts have been formed during the Shang Dynasty and Zhou Dynasty, and gradually moving towards the peak. Bamboo carving in the arts and crafts in the subject matter is very rich, often with the help of good luck, fortune, longevity, plum, orchids, bamboo, chrysanthemums and Chinese traditional patterns, landscapes and other connotations to convey the bamboo culture. The bamboo carving of Shaoyang in Hunan Province, Huangyan in Zhejiang Province and Jiang'an in Sichuan Province is a characteristic and exquisite carving method in the art of bamboo carving. The carving formed on the yellow of the bamboo is close to ivory in color, and the color is warm and moist. The color of the bamboo carving is close to ivory and the color is warm. Bamboo brush holders, incense burners, fan bones and decorative ornaments can be seen everywhere in the interior. Figure 3 is the work of Luo Qisong, a master bamboo carver of the flip spring, "The Drunkenness of the Concubine".

2. Bamboo Woven Crafts

Bamboo Woven Crafts is a decorative artifacts formed after the main raw materials of Nanzhu, Cizhu and other bamboo are harvested, rolled and sliced, scraped and divided into gimlets, three anti-dyeing, dyeing, and weaving processes. As early as in the Spring and Autumn and Warring States periods, the art of bamboo weaving has reached a very high level of skill. Nowadays, bamboo mats, tissue boxes, crafted fruit pots (as shown in Figure 4), bamboo baskets and a variety of small crafts are widely used in interior design.

3. Bamboo Lamps

In the design of lamps, bamboo is more often used in the production of lamp brackets and lampshades. General selection of 5-year-old bamboo, after cutting, opening, drying, milling, grinding, embryo, lacquer and other processes after molding bamboo lamps. Bamboo's mechanical strength, can meet the mechanical requirements of bamboo as a lamp bracket. Bamboo is soft and can be bent into different shapes to meet the modeling needs of lamps. The light transmittance of the bamboo woven lampshade can be adjusted according to the use of demand to adjust the weaving method, so as to meet the lighting needs and create the effect of spatial atmosphere. The bamboo lamps shown in Figure 5 are made of raw bamboo material with modern styling, which conveys the texture of natural ecological materials and meets the modern aesthetic requirements.

Three, Summary

Interior design is originally a combination of culture and design behavior, bamboo in the technical, artistic, and economic are better in line with the requirements of modern design, bamboo culture as a branch of culture, enriching the artistic expression of design works. The combination of the natural properties of bamboo material and modern technology technically makes up for the natural defects of bamboo material which is prone to decay, mildew and insects, and at the same time, the unique texture and color of bamboo material also bring the design works closer to nature. Material innovation is the driving force behind the reform and development of the interior, the embodiment of the natural properties of the material is also one of the human-centered manifestations, therefore, bamboo is increasingly being utilized in all aspects of interior design, but also a good interpretation of the concept of green environmental protection and human-centered.
