Briefly introduce the development of China's international political economy.

(1) In the preparatory stage (1978—the end of 1980s), for a period after the founding of the People's Republic of China, "the conditions and opportunities for the study of western international relations, together with other western social science research achievements, will no longer be systematically introduced to new China." [6](P 183- 184) During this period, the study of western international relations developed rapidly, while Hans? Morgan George. Kennan, a master of realism, founded this theory and promoted the discipline construction to actively serve the needs of the expansion of American national interests. In order to obtain security, Europe is United and strengthened, and the process of integration has become the leading research topic in Europe during this period. Political relations determine economic relations, which is the meaning of the process of European integration. In contrast, China studied and introduced the Soviet model on a large scale, ignoring the research and discipline construction of political science, and the process of accumulating western political knowledge in academic circles was delayed. During this period, China leaders paid attention to the analysis and study of the international situation, and in the 1960s, they set up departments to study international politics in Peking University, Renmin University of China and Fudan University. However, compared with the development of western international relations, this kind of exploration is sporadic and lags behind the times. Therefore, Professor Yuan Ming of Peking University calls the 30 years from 1949 to 1978 a "fault" in the study of international relations in China, and thinks that this stage is not conducive to the development of China's international relations discipline as a whole.

(II) Institutionalization Stage (199 1-2003) Since the 1990s, China's research on international political economy has entered a new stage. Its development course shows that it is an important path for the development of a new discipline to switch from systematic research and exploration of Chinese Academy of Social Sciences to classroom teaching, because attaching importance to discipline construction itself is the full-time and specialty of universities, and teaching mature knowledge of discipline system in university classrooms is the only way for discipline construction. 199 1 year, Yuan Ming organized an international seminar on "Challenges Faced by 2 1 century: the development of the discipline of international relations in China". Gilpin, Miles? Keller and other internationally renowned political economists attended the meeting and published papers on economic regionalism and international system reform. Song Xinning of Renmin University of China wrote in China's Research on International Political Economy: Challenges? Dilemma? The way out is that "there is no international political economy in China", but in order to meet the needs of teaching and scientific research, China Renmin University has set up a national summer advanced course on "International Political Economy", and will discuss with Peking University and Fudan University to formulate an "eight-year" course. Five planning "cooperation projects, and actively promote the study of international political economy. Since 1992, China Renmin University has offered courses on international political economy in the Department of International Politics and the Department of International Economics, including an introduction to international political economy, transnational organizations and transnational politics, the political economy of East-West-North-South relations, and the political economy of Asia-Pacific. Peking University started offering international political economy courses to undergraduates from 1994, and was listed as the backbone basic course of Peking University from 1999.

(III) The Rising Stage of China's Consciousness (2003-present) Since the middle and late 1990s, a series of major changes have taken place in the world, which greatly promoted the research in western academic circles. The former Soviet Union and Eastern European countries joined the western market economy system, which changed the composition of the labor force in the world market system. A series of major events, such as the East Asian financial crisis in the late 1990s, the official issuance of 1999 Euro, and the global financial crisis since the end of 2008, have shaken the world monetary management system and brought the world political economy into a new period of great change. The Internet revolution and the globalization of non-traditional security issues in 2 1 century have greatly broadened the problem areas of academic research and policy research. Affected by this, scholars of international political economy pay full attention to the role of information, value and knowledge in the study of international relations, and study new topics such as environment, technical standards, internet and transitional economy. Western scholars actively promote a series of analytical tools developed in the cold war era, which is a process of political and economic compounding and has complex social effects. At the same time, the expansion of economic penetration has greatly affected the distribution of political power, and the interaction between domestic economic changes and international economic changes has made the distribution of political power more complicated.
