Historical problems of skirts
The traditional national costume in Korea consists of tops and long skirts.
Burmese people often wear tube skirts, which are called "cage base" (male) and "Temin" (female).
Skirts are generally one or two times wider than the body, and there is no belt. Men's skirts are only tied at the front, while women's skirts are tied at the side.
Men's skirts are mostly plaid, women's skirts are mostly plaid, and rich people wear silk.
Yemenis also generally wear skirts, which are their national costumes. In countries such as Fiji and Samoa in the South Pacific, their officials and even presidents wear plain skirts on formal occasions.

In modern times, Western-style skirts were introduced into China, which became an important dress for people to wear every day, and gradually replaced traditional skirts.
In 1950s and 1960s, influenced by the Soviet Union, Blagi dresses became popular.
During the Cultural Revolution, skirts were strictly restricted.
After the reform and opening up, skirts became popular again.
Miniskirts and suspenders have been introduced into Chinese mainland, and there are more and more kinds of skirts.
