Origin of Hui
Origin:
The Hui is the abbreviation for the Huihui people, and the term "Huihui" was initially used as a term of endearment before evolving into a term of endearment. The term "Hui Hui" was first used in the Northern Song Dynasty in Shen Kuo's Mengxi Bianan. It is generally believed that the Hui ethnic group was roughly formed in the Ming Dynasty, while the Yuan Dynasty was the preparatory period for the formation of the Hui ethnic group, and the Ming Dynasty was the period of the final formation of the Hui Hui nation.
In the early thirteenth century, during the Mongol army's westward expedition, a group of Central Asians who believed in Islam, as well as Persians and Arabs, were continuously issued or automatically migrated to China. They were called "Huihui people", and later they also called themselves "Huihui".
